Robyn Garner and Daniel Lang attended the Don`t Forget the Pets training at the HUB on January 14th. We collaborated with other agencies and learned the steps to making the shelter pet friendly!
Bucks County Opportunity Council’s mission is to reduce poverty and partner with our community to promote economic self-sufficiency. In 2023-2024, we helped 57,738 people and 10,303 households in our local area with programs that help those in need. From food to housing services to self-sufficiency coaching, we are ensuring everyone in our community has their needs met.

Weatherization expert Nick Frey recently went above and beyond to help a Bucks County homeowner seal her home and lower energy bills!
Through our Weatherization Program, we provide home repairs and energy-saving improvements for those on fixed or low incomes. Experts like Nick install measures like insulation, air sealing, and heater upgrades while educating homeowners on maintaining efficient home systems.
Shoutout to Bucks Country Gardens Ltd. for their donation to BCOC and support of other incredible organizations like Bucks County Housing Group, Pennridge FISH, Meals on Wheels of Central Bucks County, and Kids-N-Hope Foundation. They matched their customers` December donations to make double the impact!

January is National Poverty in America Awareness Month, a time to shine a light on the challenges many families face putting food on the table. BCOC is proud to be the lead food agency for families in need in Bucks County, working to eliminate food insecurity and improve health equity across our community. With the help of over 70 partners, we’ve distributed 3.3 million pounds of food this year, including through weekly fresh produce distributions, senior food box deliveries, and school outreach programs.
For over 60 years, Bucks County Opportunity Council has worked to reduce poverty and empower people to achieve self-sufficiency. As Bucks County’s lead anti-poverty nonprofit, BCOC connects low-income families with resources to stabilize during crises, build skills, and work toward economic independence.
